Cotahuasi Canyon

We will initiate our tour at 05:00 am to the Cannon of Cotahuasi in local bus from Arequipa until the village of Corire in an average of 2 hours and average of trip. Corire is recognised by the big quantity of paleontological material that has found  in the zone between them a clear footprint of dinosaur.

Once that we arrive to Corire will move us in private mobility until Toro Muerto in where we will be able to appreciate cientos of petroglyphs cut in volcanic rocks, recorded that have geometrical figures, anthropomorphic and zoomorphic.

At 10:30 am roughly will visit Querullpa, place in where it can appreciate  footprints of dinosaurs and place in where besides they can  see two replies of  how they looked  possibly dinosaurs.

Afterwards to visit Querullpa will direct us to the populated of Torán to be able to have lunch and afterwards visit the cemetery pre inca that finds  very near of the village.

In the afternoon we will take a local bus to the village of Cotahuasi in where we slept.

We will initiate this day to the 06:00 am splitting from Cotahuasi to Pampamarca village in local bus, afterwards of 2 hours and average of trip will enjoy of a delicious breakfast in Pampamarca before initiating our trek to the Forest of stones of Huito to where will arrive afterwards of a trek of 2 hours roughly, from this Forest will have a privileged sight of all the valley and the near villages.

We will return to the half day to be able to have lunch in Pampamarca and afterwards can visit the Uskune´s waterfalls, which has a fall of almost 90 metres. Afterwards to visit these beautiful waterfalls will head to thhot springs of Jhosla to be able to relax us and enjoy of his meditinal pools.

In the afternoon we will return to Pampamarca in where we will have dinner and slept.

The third day of our tour will be of pure trek, will split of Pampamarca to the 05:00 am course to the community of Huarhua to where will arrive afterwards of 7 hours of trek roughly.

During the way will be able to appreciate the beauty landscapes that offers the Cannon of Cotahuasi and will go through picturesque villages, between them the one of Ccochapampa in where resaltan his chain of pre hispanic terraces.

We have breakfast in route when arriving to the village of Mungui from where besides will be able to appreciate Andean condors overflights. We will continue our trek through the village of Cotahuasi and by some small waterfalls that falling down from the mountains.

We will rest by a pair of hours and will enjoy of a delicious breakfast in route surrounded of the nature for afterwards finally arrive to the village of Huarhua in where we will install us in the houses of the pobladores those who have conditioned them to promote the tourism in the zone.

Afterwards of a brief rest will direct us to the Salt mines that are to alone 30 minutes  on foot from the village.

Finally afterwards to visit the mines of salt will return to Huarhua to have dinner and slept.

In our last day of the tour will initiate the return at 05:00 am with a falling trek of 5 hours roughly until the Waterfalls of Sipia, beautiful waterfalls that explain in total with 7 falls adding all a fall of 500 metres being the biggest one of his falls with more than 150 metres of height.

We will arrive to Cotahuasi to the 11:00 am roughly from where will take a local bus that will carry us until the hos springs of Luicho visiting on the way the village of Tomepampa in where resalta his beautiful colonial church.

Finally to the 16:00 hrs will tackle the bus that will carry us of return to the city of Arequipa to where will arrive to the 03:00 am of the following day.
