Southern Copacabana and Northen Sun Island

You'll be picked up at your hotel between 7:30 and 8:00am and we'll head in our tourist-class bus towards Copacabana. The trip will take about 3½ hours, along which you'll be able to appreciate humbling views of the Andean Cordillera Real, or Royal Range. We'll reach Copacabana at 12:00pm and have time to accommodate ourselves in the hotel before having a delicious lunch.
At 1:30pm we'll embark our shared motorboat and spend an hour and a half admiring the diversity of massive Lake Titicaca as we cross the waters to Sun Island.
Once we arrive on the island we'll trek to the ruins of Pilcocaina Archeological Center, a site where the Incas engaged in ceremonies of worship to their supreme deity, the Sun God. Our guide will explain to us the significance and history of the site.
Afterwards, we'll follow the Incas' steps as we descend along the stone steps of Yumani Stairway to the Fountain of Youth.
We'll have dinner and spend the night on the island.

After breakfast we'll have a half-day trek along an original Inca trail that crosses from the southern part to the northern part of Sun Island. Our destination is Chinkana Archeological Complex where we will visit the Sacred Rock and the Labyrinth. Afterwards we'll return to the southern part of the island by boat. At 4:30pm we'll cross the waters of Lake Titicaca again as we return to Copacabana, where we'll arrive at 6:00pm. In Copacabana we'll have dinner together, after which you'll have the evening free.

After breakfast we'll have a guided walking tour of Copacabana which will last about 2 hours.
Our first stop will be the Sanctuary of the Virgen of Candelaria, the city's greatest pilgrimage site.
Afterwards we'll ascend to Calvary to see where Bolivian Yatiris perform traditional pre-Columbian rituals meant to secure health, love, money, and familial protection.
We'll stop for lunch at noon and at 1:30pm we'll catch our return bus to La Paz.
