Come and enjoy this adventure of full day with us, visiting the experimental terraces of Moray known as the Inca agricultural laboratory, the town of Maras and the salt ponds, then continuing to Urubamba, from where we will return to the city of Cusco.
We will pick you up from the hotel between 08:45 a.m. to 09:00 a.m. to take our way to the town of Cruz Pata, where we will prepare to start the adventure by bicycle. The first point to visit will be Moray known as the Inca agricultural laboratory, which has a set of concentric circular terraces previously used for the acclimatization of crops. Our guide will give us a full explanation about this place. Then we will enjoy the Box Lunch. We will continue the bicycle trip to the village of Maras, then to the Salt ponds. Then we will be descending and we will encounter some exciting corners; We can see some cliffs during the tour. Upon reaching the Salt Flats, our Guide will explain how they diverted this underground salt water flow from Cerro Qaqawinay to make it reach the thousands of wells located on stepped terraces.
Members of the Maras community still produce salt for local and international consumption. The sunlight plays on the white layers of salt and produces an impressive spectacle like never before. Finally we will continue for a brief descent towards Urubamba, in order to take the bus back to the City of Cusco.
Approximately we will arrive to Cusco at 17:00 hrs.
