Come with us to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and enjoy along the way the beautiful fields of corn, potatoes, quinoa, beans and more. In this tour you will see a sample of the wonderful architecture and Inca engineering such as the concentric terraces of Moray. After that you will visit the innumerable and colorful salt grounds in Maras. Then in the afternoon you will board the train to Aguas Calientes town when you will spend the night.
The second day very early in the morning you will go to the Machu Picchu ruins and you will have the opportunity to view the sun rise. Then you will have an amazing tour for Machu Picchu that is one of The New Seven Wonders of the World.
We will start the adventure by picking you up from the hotel at 8:00am and then you will board our private transportation to Maras, where you will pass through communities like Cachimayo and Chinchero. You will walk the streets of Maras and you will be able to appreciate some colonial gates that are in use until today. You will continue our journey to Moray where you will see the terraces or platforms which were used as agricultural laboratories during the Inca era. Each terrace has a different temperature for each product and its growing condition.
Then you will head to the salt mines where you will find 3000 salt extraction wells, where you will observe different colors and textures in each of the wells. In the afternoon you will be descending to Urubamba where our private transportation will be waiting for you to drive to Ollantaytamo town and you will take the train to Aguas Calientes.
You will get up very early and after eating a nutritious breakfast you will ascend to the ruins of Machu Picchu, during the visit you will see the flora and fauna of the area. Then when arriving at the archaeological complex you will see the sunrise in its entire splendor, after that you will have a guided tour around the ruins for approximately 2 hours. After that you will have free time to walk around the place on your own.
Then you will descend by bus to “Aguas Calientes”, upon arrival if you want you could go to the thermal baths. Finally you will take the train to Ollantaytambo where our private transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.
