This exciting rafting expedition is ranked among the best in the world. We will start the trip from Cusco to the Apurimac River. This river is the most direct source of the Amazon for what is considered the longest river in the world. Our food will be prepared by our staff in a bonfire under the night sky. We will observe the variety of flora and fauna with which this place has. The months recommended to take this adventure are from May to November.
We will start our adventure by picking you up from the hotel in Cusco at 08:30 am, we will take the transportation and travel for 4 hours through the Andes, observing the beautiful landscapes we will reach the Huallpachaca Bridge. It will be at this point where our Professional Guide will provide us with all the appropriate Rafting equipment: rafts, paddles, helmet, neoprene suit, self rescue lifejacket and more. He will also provide us with a complete safety instructions and simulations in Rafting techniques. We will be in the river for about 2 to 3 hours taking class II & III rapids. We will camp in a narrow gorge with impressive walls. Our Guide, will prepare the food and each of us must wash our own utensil used in food.
After a healthy breakfast we will start again with the rafting adventure at approximately 09:00 am. We will spend in the river about 6 hours, making most of the time class III & IV fast, we will take a break for lunch. We will arrive at the camp at 4:00 pm, enjoy tea. Then dinner will be served and we will spend the night on the sandy beach.
We will enjoy a good breakfast and then start our Rafting adventure through a pair of class V rapids called 'toothache', 'first', 'last word', among others. We will be in the water about 3 to 4 hours doing Rafting, at the end we will pack all the Rafting equipment and our belongings to return to the City of Cusco, arriving around 6:00 pm.
