This exciting River Rafting expedition on the Apurimac River will be your best adventure trip, due this is ranked among the top ten rafting trips in Peru and the World. We will take care of everything necessary so that your adventure travel will be the best.
We will sail in the river that crosses the Canyon of the Apurimac of the Peruvian Andes, considered one of the deepest rivers of America and the world.
First we will relax in the class I and Class II training rapids, then the Raft in the river will give you the amazing sensation through the river when you crossing the class III and class IV rapids.
This tour includes three perfect days of adventure, with an excellent River Rafting team and expert’s guides. You will also see beautiful and unforgettable landscapes along the way.
The tour starts at 08:30 in the morning, at which time we will pick you up from your hotel and then go for approximately 2 hours to Apurimac Canyon. Then you will arrive at Bridge Huallpachaca located at 2000masl.
Upon arriving at the beach called “Rocoto” our guides will give you an informative talk about how to drive on the river and the care and precautions that we must have to make this adventure unforgettable.
Our English speaking professional river rafting guides will provide you all the proper equipment and give you a safety briefing before getting to the class II & III rapids of this fantastic river.
Dinner will be served at the campsite around the campfire. After a delicious dinner you can see a sky full of stars that will light your night.
After a restful break we get up early to have a nutritious breakfast with fresh fruit salad, yogurt, granola, coffee and tea. Then we will have time to walk near the camp, take some photos and enjoy the beautiful natural landscape.
After that we will pack our equipment and go back to the river to pick up new class III and class IV rapids, and then you will pass by two class IV rapids called “Carve” and “Bati Cueva”. On average at 4:00 pm you will arrive to our second camp called “La Mesa” located on the banks of the Apurimac River on a white sandy beach.
After dinner you will have the opportunity to enjoy the peace of a night with a starry sky.
The tour of Rafting in the Apurimac River will take on new meaning as we pass by a quick pair of class V Rapids called "Toothache", its hardness test our strength.
In several parts of this trip we will be able to see the fauna that lives in the river and in its surroundings such as: river otter, foxes, torrent ducks, condors and other species.
This day you will be in the river for approximately 4 hours and finally our transport will pick you up from the Kunyak Bridge where your adventure will end to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
