If you are wondering, Apurimac River means in Quechua "Speaker of the Gods" and is the most important tributary of the Amazon River. If we follow the origin of the river, it is part of the glacial Carhuasanta stream that flows from the Mismi Mountain.

Looking closely at nature, we can appreciate some native animals in the area such as river otters, foxes, some torrentinos ducks, cormorants and the Condor.

Itinerary of Apurimac River Rafting 3D/2N: Cusco - Peru

Apurimac River Rafting Day 1: Cusco - Huallpachaca

The Tour will start well rested,picking them up from the hotel at 8:30 in the morning towards the canyon of the Apurimac, arriving at the bridge Huallpachaca (2.000 meters).

It will Take an average of 2 hours to have lunch and prepare all the equipment for boating in the river.

The Guide will give us an explanation of safety and the correct use of the rafting equipment, we also do a training of rafting techniques. Then we will be floating in the whitewater of the Apurimac River furrowing the rapids of class I, II and III.

The rest we will have in the afternoon, Asentándonos in a camp on the sandy beaches of the river, a complete internment to the Nature! We will Only see a beautiful sky full of stars and listen to the river breaking with the rocks. No doubt Peace between nature!

Apurimac River Rafting Day 2: Huallpachaca – Playa "La Mesa"

After lifting the camp and having breakfast, we will sail through class III and IV rapids for more than six hours.

In a part of the river we will pass by a very difficult fast to be in a Strait of the canyon. The Guide will check whether the MIME can carry the boat or will have to be charged for approximately 7 minutes.

The Most intense rapids have a name adapted to its hardness, and on this day we will pass by two class IV rapids called "Carve" and "Bati Cueva" On Average At 4 pm We are coming to our second camp called "La Mesa" located on the banks of the Apurimac River on a white sandy beach.

Tonight will be perfect for taking pictures.

Apurimac River Rafting Day 3: Playa "La Mesa" – Cusco

The tour of Rafting in the Apurimac River will take on new meaning as we pass by a quick pair of class V called "Toothache" and "Your first", its hardness test our strength.

In several parts of the river we will be able to see the fauna that lives in the river and in its surroundings such as: River otter, foxes, torrent ducks, cormorants and condors.

This Day we will be in the river for about 4 hours where our transport will wait for us near the Kunyak Bridge where our adventure will end, then we will move from return to Cusco.
