In This tour we will know two very important places of the Inca Empire, where we enter in the surroundings of the Sacred Valley and visit the circular andenes of Moray (Agricultural laboratory Inca) and the Salt ponds of Maras (called Maras salts)
Although we know that the Incas built platforms throughout Peru, it is on the circular platforms of Moray where they produced the thousands of varieties of Andean products that are exported to many countries.
Today The inhabitants still extract the mineral from the salt ponds of maras and commercialize them with the economic-social end for the benefit of the neighboring families.
Our adventure will begin with pickup from your Hostel in Cusco, between 08:00 a.m. to 08:30 a.m. Once the group is meeting, we will go in our tourist mobility to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the way we will pass through picturesque villages and we will be able to appreciate the snow-capped mountains of Chicón and La Verónica, important snow-capped mountains that were and are venerated since pre-Hispanic times .
Our tour will make its first stop in the archaeological center of Moray, important archaeological center of Inca era that has platforms in a circular way that goes down until reaching the 2500 msnm approximately.
In this place, typical products of the Andes and the Peruvian jungle were probably cultivated, given the variety of microclimates that form in each walk, in which the temperature and altitude are different.
After visiting Moray we will go to the town of Maras, which still has its colonial houses and church, from here we will continue to the Salt Mines of Maras.
The salt mines are a set of hundreds of salt pits which, from the pre-Inca period to the present, still produce salt that helps with the economy of the inhabitants since they export salt nationally and internationally.
We will end the tour in the city of Cusco around 2:00 pm which will leave you the afternoon free to tour the city, rest or make some other trip.
