In this tour you will know two very important places of the Inca Empire, passing around the surroundings of the Sacred Valley where you will visit the circular platforms of Moray (Inca agricultural laboratory) and the Maras Salt ponds (called The Salt Mines).
Although we know that the Incas built platforms throughout Peru, it is on the circular platforms of Moray that they got produced the hundreds of varieties of Andean Products that even now are exported to many countries.
Currently the inhabitants of Maras extract this mineral from the salt ponds and they commercialize to get an economic benefit for their families
Your adventure will begin between 08:00 a.m. to 08:30 a.m. when our guide will picked you up from your hostel in Cusco. Once the group is meeting, we will go in our tourist mobility to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the way we will pass through picturesque villages and we will be able to appreciate the snow-capped mountains of Chicón and La Veronica that are venerated since pre-Hispanic times.
We will visit Moray, important archaeological center of Inca era that has platforms in a circular way that goes down until reaching the 2500msnm approximately.
In this place, typical products of the Andes and the Peruvian jungle were probably cultivated, given the variety of microclimates that form in each platform, in which the temperature and the altitude are different.
After visiting Moray we will go to the town of Maras, which still has its colonial houses and church, from here we will continue to the Salt Mines of Maras.
The salt mines are a set of salt pits, which from the pre-Inca period to the present, still produce salt and nowadays help the inhabitants with their economy since they export this product nationally and internationally
We will end the tour in the city of Cusco around 2:00 pm.
