The Tour starts very early with the transfer from your hotel, sometimes varies the departure time however we will be in time passing the towns of Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. We will also have a great view of nature and the harmonised landscapes between the jungle eyebrow and the snowy Mountains of the most spectacular Urubamba mountain range.
The trip will continue towards Ollantaytambo (2.792 m) where we can choose to have breakfast and then continue the trip until you reach the Paso Quillabamba or also called "step to Abra Málaga" (4316 meters) the highest point on the road Cusco-Quillabamba, where we begin Our first activity of the Inca Jungle Trek: Descent in mountain bikes. Passing through diverse ecosystems and temperatures of cold, temperate and hot that is characteristic of the eyebrow of forest passing through diverse small towns, rivers and streams until arriving to Huamanmarca and Santa Maria (1196 meters) where we will taste of a deserved lunch After burning the calories in the mountain.
In Santa Maria We have the option to practice rafting in the Urubamba river with Class 2 and 3 rapids with some big waves in the river, it is better to make this adventure as long as the season is good because the water level changes all year , this is an extra to the trip that is charged separately.
We Start early our second day of tour on an ancient Inca trail that was created hundreds of years ago in a humid and warm climate, the guide will stop in many places explaining along the way about the customs of the Incas and the purposes of their ways.
Do Not forget that we will walk through the region of Cusco and all the way we are surrounded by insect of the sand that leave stings that last many days to disappear, so it is better to use enough insect repellent.
And as we mentioned before, as you walk through the jungle, we will be very close to the plantation of fruit trees, coffee and coca without counting that many times we will meet in the forest with picturesque birds and some monkeys, but the best of the views is to reach the top of the mountain and appreciate the valley of the Urubamba River that we left behind in the jungle Walk.
If the road seemed long, do not worry because we will arrive in a village where we can rest in a hammock and have lunch to continue our trek.
Finally, after walking for more than 14 kilometres from the Jungle Trek, getting to the hot springs of Cocalmayo will be a relief where we catch our breath by relaxing our aching muscles, and we better relax in the warm water!
Now to rest in the lodge we had to give a last half hour trek to Santa Teresa where we finished our 2 day Jungle Trek.
We will Start the day with a lot of adrenaline with four long and very high zip on the river to make our Inca Jungle exciting.
Testing our fear of slipping on a rope has its reward by including the transfer to Hydro. And for those who do not choose to zip, the tour continues on a half hour hike to Hydro.
Our meeting point for lunch is in hydro-electric Whether you have walked or opted to do Tyrolean, our tour continues with a walk along the lines of the train to arrive in the afternoon to the city of Aguas Calientes where we will also diner in an Local Restaurant and our guide will inform us of our excursion of the day following to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
