Visit with us the Manu National Park, habitat of a lot of Animals and Plants specie like mammals, reptiles, birds, orchids and another more.
We will start in the morning from the city of Cusco to average about 07:00 am in our tourist transport heading south of Cusco, we will cross picturesque villages, on the way we will visit a pre-Inca cemetery in the sector of Ninamarca, where we can appreciate " The Chullpas" which are circular constructions where the ancient inhabitants buried their dead.
We will continue our trip to the town of Paucartambo, a beautiful town that was very important in the Colonia because it was a place for the exchange of products from the high Andean areas and the Amazon jungle. We will continue our journey to the Acjanacu Pass (3850 masl) which will be the highest point of our excursion.
From this opening we will initiate the descent towards the amazonian rainforest that due to the humidity generated in the area, the presence of the fog is almost every day reason why it is known as the Forest of Clouds, in this area we will be able to appreciate some species endemic as the spectacled bears and the cock of the Rocks as well as orchids, bromeliads, ferns among others.
This day we will arrive to Pilcopata where we will spend the night in a hostel with basic services.
The second day in the Peruvian Amazon will start with a nutritious breakfast and then on board our boat to go to the Machuhuasi lagoon. home to several species of mammals, reptiles, birds and insects, among which are the turtles and some ronsocos.
We will walk on the waters of this lagoon aboard a catamaran (boat) typical of the area enjoying the landscape of the area.
At the end we will return to the lodge to have lunch and rest, at night we will make a nocturnal walk to identify insects and some nocturnal animals.
The last day of our adventure will start very early as we will go to a clay lick (clay wall) to which hundreds of parrots and macaws are directed each morning to consume the clay minerals necessary for their diet.
We will return to the lodge for breakfast and then start the return by motor boat to the Pilcopata where our tourist transport will be waiting for us, which will bring us back to Cusco.
The National Park of Manu is not an endemic area, there is no Malaria or yellow fever however they need to carry a good insect repellent.
If you want to be vaccinated against yellow fever for prevention you can do it 10 days before the date of visit to Manu
