On Uyuni

The city of Uyuni is located on 3650 meters above sea level in the southwest of Bolivia and a 9 hour trip by bus from the city of La Paz.

Uyuni is a small town that serves as access to the largest salt desert in the world. The Salar de Uyuni covers a total area of 10 582 km² and within it hosts a great variety of natural tourism atractitivos as islands, cactus forests, lagoons, geysers of unique colors among others.

The Salar de Uyuni has become the main tourist destination in Bolivia and is in dates as the 21st June and 21st December which is visited by thousands of local and international tourists who are going to receive the first rays of the sun in order to renew their energies.

The Salar de Uyuni is marked two times of the year are divided between the months of November to March as the rainy season, a time in which you can see the spectacle of water mirrors that are accumulations of water which reflect the blue sky.

The dry season is between the months of April to October, at this time cannot appreciate the mirrors of water but the brightness of the sun on the salar is fascinating, giving you the impression of being on a huge white ocean .
